Participants will brainstorm with colleagues both virtually and in person about this year's theme - innovative and unconventional formats to inspire the next evolution of event models. The theme will be developed through discussions, sponsor support, and a workshop. This is a seven-month project alongside peers from around the world.

Award of $25,000 to a USA medical school faculty member to acknowledge efforts to achieve justice and equity for minorities in the fields of healthcare and medical education. The recipient will be awarded a grant for a project that supports the equity and needs of ethnic and racial minorities.

Funding is intended to provide technical assistance to transportation systems that serve rural areas and also those that operate within tribal lands of Federally Recognized Native American Tribes (FRNAT).

Grants to USA and territories IHEs, for-profit and nonprofit entities, government agencies, and Tribal Nations for research to address knowledge gaps regarding wind energy. Funding is intended to collect data and advance tools that will improve the performance and cost-effectiveness of large commercial turbines.

Opportunity for a USA, Canada, or International organization to manage a youth program to promote sports in local communities. The program will offer the cohort of young people funding for projects, connection with a worldwide network of youth, and expert guidance and coaching. The applicant must be able to ensure the program's long-term success, monitor its progress, involve stakeholders, and oversee program administration. Funding is intended for programs and initiatives that have a positive impact on organization and families in need. Previous grant recipients include charitable food programs, housing assistance, firefighter equipment, and supplies for a children's program. Grants of $15,000 and in-kind support to USA indigenous artists to encourage professional artistic growth. Funding is intended to support artists that are in the early stages of their careers. Eligible disciplines include poetry and fiction writing, dance and choreography, video and film, music, multi-disciplinary arts, performance art, theater and screenplay writing, traditional arts, and 2D + 3D visual arts. Grants are open to members of American Indian tribes, Alaska Native corporations, and individuals of Native Hawaiian ancestry.

Funding is intended to promote the active participation of youth (up to age 18) in sports programs. The goal of the grant is to encourage participation in Winter or Spring sports for youth in Jackson County who may not otherwise be able to afford to play.

Funding is intended for research studies that will improve the long-term health outcomes of people with traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Fellowship to a USA, Canada, or International MD or PhD for research studies on the topic of ocular cancer. The purpose of funding is to encourage specialization in the fields of uveal melanoma biology, ophthalmology, ocular oncology, or related areas. Eligible studies must be translational or clinical.

Grants of $50,000 to USA, Canada, and International MDs, PhDs, and those with equivalent degrees for research regarding novel treatments for ocular/uveal melanoma. The purpose of the program is to use basic research to identify responsive druggable targets. Eligible uses of funds include salary and benefits, graduate students, or research assistants, supplies, and equipment.

Grants and in-kind support to USA, Canada, and International youth and young adults to conduct environmental sustainability and climate change projects. Eligible projects address issues regarding the following topics: sustainable food systems, climate change mitigation, packaging sustainability, and regenerative agriculture. In addition to funds, participant teams will receive intensive training and individualized mentorship.

The fellowships are intended to support a range of projects and activities that display outstanding analytics and high-level writing skills.

Award of $2,000 to a USA audiologist or speech-language pathologist to recognize outstanding accomplishments. Funding will be awarded for outstanding service in PreK-12 schools. Applicants should demonstrate how their activities have had a positive and significant impact in their field within a school setting.

Award to a USA, Canada, or International individual to recognize outstanding contributions to communication sciences. The purpose of this program is to honor an individual who has enhanced the quality of clinical care in speech-language pathology and/or audiology. The lifetime contribution may have been in clinical service, supervision or administration of clinical service, clinical research, or any other activity that has promoted clinical excellence. The Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award recognizes an individual’s outstanding contributions to communication sciences and disorders over a period of at least 20 years.

Grants to Michigan nonprofit organizations, faith-based entities, municipalities, public schools, and government agencies to improve the lives of local residents in eligible locations. Funding is intended for programs in the areas of health, education, and livable community. Eligible activities benefit the greater Battle Creek area. The Foundation will also consider projects serving Calhoun County in the area of arts only.

Funds may be used to provide essential services and may support technology, staff salary, materials, equipment, and promotion. Special consideration will be given to requests that benefit underserved or underrepresented groups.

Grants to USA journalists for investigative projects regarding health equity. Priority may be given to early-career reporters. Projects should focus on health topics such as access to care, health outcomes for BIPOC people, systemic racism, and the impacts of these inequities on populations.

Fellowships to USA journalists to research health inequities affecting families across the nation. This opportunity is meant to allow journalists to take time away from their newsrooms and deep-dive into the issues of health inequities, systemic racism, and their impact on families and communities.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA, Canada, and International qualifying nonprofit, for-profit, and other fact-checking organizations to support work that addresses the harm of misinformation in journalism. Funding is intended to increase organizational capacity by supporting technical, material, and/or operational needs. Funds may be used for website development, staff salaries, professional development, cyber security, and other related purposes.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations, schools, and school districts to develop policies on students' phone use in school. Funding is intended for solutions that will assist teachers, school administrators, and youth from pre-teen through age 19 to navigate the complicated scenarios that face young people today. Grant recipients will embark on a five-month program.

Grants of up to $30,000 to USA nonprofit organizations and educational institutions to establish, expand, or maintain Japanese language education programs. Applicants must contact program staff prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to cover expenditures related to the salary and benefits of full-time and part-time instructors of the Japanese language.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International organizations and individuals for projects that promote social justice and equality. Applicants are required to complete an eligibility quiz prior to submitting a grant application. The purpose of this program is to address inequality through feature-length documentary films. Grant funds will be distributed in the focus areas of social justice, innovation, and intersectional perspectives.

Grants to USA and Canada researchers at nonprofit institutions and organizations to research cures and treatments for childhood cancers. The purpose of this program is to support late-translational studies. Preference will be given to research projects that will likely result in the initiation of a clinical trial in two to three years from the start of the project, by, for example, completing IND-enabling studies, providing requisite preclinical data for clinical trial development, or perhaps through the validation of biomarkers that will enable selection of the correct patients for entry into new clinical trials.

Grants of up to $20,000 to USA, Canada, and International researchers affiliated with nonprofit research institutions to generate data related to SATB2-associated syndrome (SAS). Funding is intended for research addressing SAS as it pertains to sleep, behavior, speech and language, and global developmental delays.

Grants of up to $2,500 to USA young adults who are cancer survivors for assistance with fertility and other family expenses. Funding is intended to assist cancer survivors in building their families through adoption, fertility treatments, or surrogacy. Applicants must have a clear plan of action before applying.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International early career researchers at IHEs and research organizations to investigate the impact of AI on scientific research. Funding is intended for projects to help understand the impact that AI has already had and continues to have on the scientific research landscape.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International tech startup companies in the insurance industry to participate in a business development program. Program participants receive cash investments, networking opportunities, coaching, and mentorship, as well as office space. The selected businesses participate in a three-month, concierge accelerator program in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Grants of $20,000 and in-kind assistance to Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, and New York City entrepreneurs in eligible locations to support work in art, music, and culture. Funding is intended to honor emerging creative businesses. In addition to a cash grant, grantees will also receive one-on-one mentorship from industry experts to emerging creatives from Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, and New York .

Opportunity for USA and territories, Israel, Canada, and International filmmakers to participate in a unique mentorship program. Nonfiction filmmakers will take part in an immersive retreat with mentors, providing filmmakers with an opportunity to screen their projects and receive constructive feedback. Eligible film projects must be in the rough cut stage by the summer of 2025, and filmmakers must be able to attend the retreat in person. Five feature films will be chosen to participate.

The purpose of the grant program is to help improve the quality of care of dogs in shelter or rescue, and to increase adoption rates through programs and new initiatives.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA and territories nonprofit cultural, academic, and research institutions, government agencies, and tribes to preserve significant audio and video media resources. Funding is intended to support the digital reformatting of media that is fragile, obsolete, time-based, and of scholarly value. Preservation services must be performed by qualified external service providers.

Grants to USA and territories IHEs, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and agencies for behavioral health programming in rural communities. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for a variety of programs that will improve rural behavioral health care.

Scholarship for USA library school students to attend a conference. The scholarship is intended for students currently attending a qualified information studies degree-granting program and for new professionals. The awardee will also receive a membership to a professional association. Funding will provide for conference registration, transportation, housing, and a stipend.

Scholarships of $250 to Michigan youth in eligible regions to attend camp. Funding is intended for a variety of camping experiences, including but not limited to sports, arts, church, scouts, leadership, and general camps. The goal of the program is to ensure that camp experiences are accessible to all young people, regardless of financial status. Application is for one camp experience per child, and preference is given to first-time requests. Eligible youth are those that attend Oceana County schools.

In-kind donations of books to USA, Canada, and International youth-serving agencies and institutions to encourage reading among children and youth. The program is intended to provide books produced by African American authors and illustrators to build organizational libraries and bring books into the lives of children.

Grants of $750 to USA, Canada, and International K-12 teachers, community college faculty members, and community college students to support participation in the earth science disciplines. Awards will be made to educators and students in support of the following activities:

Focus areas include social services, neighborhood and urban affairs, physical and mental health, the arts, education, and natural resources. Fellowships to USA and territories professionals in a range of disciplines to participate in a professional development and enrichment program in the fields of aging and healthcare. The fellowship program offers training in communications, professional networking, and current policy issues, providing fellows with the necessary skills and experience to change health and aging policy. The aim of the program is to ultimately improve the health care of older adults.

Grants to USA educators employed by schools and nonprofit organizations to enhance learning for PreK-12 students. Funding will support the development of extracurricular and in-class programming that improves learning and develops the abilities of children from low-income households.

Awards to USA individuals and organizations to recognize outstanding efforts to improve the lives of blind people. Nominees will be considered for the positive impact they have had on the lives of blind individuals through programs, services, and individual work towards breaking down barriers and changing perceptions of blindness and blind people.

Funding is intended for programs and activities that are designed in response to the community’s opportunities and needs. Applicants must be located in and/or serve Lapeer County.

Funding is intended to provide medical services, medical supplies, and health education, as well as to promote social welfare.
