Kent County Medical Society Alliance (KCMSA) Foundation

Deadline Date:

04/15/21

Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $3,000 to Michigan nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for health and wellness programs that benefit local residents. Funding is intended to support medical services, medical supplies, and health education, as well as to promote social welfare. Eligible applicants are located in and serve greater Grand Rapids.

The Foundation also incorporates the health needs of the community identified in the Kent County Community Health Needs Assessment as additional criteria when assessing grant applications. This study found four major health issues facing the community: mental health, substance abuse, obesity, and poor nutrition.

The Foundation has a long history of bridging the gap for individuals when insurance and Medicaid will not cover essential items for their health and wellbeing. The Foundation will continue to accept grants from nonprofit organizations requesting funds on behalf of an individual’s health need.
