Hansen Family Foundation (HFF)

Deadline Date:

Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations that focus on humanitarian support, the environment, children, arts, education, and animal welfare. Preference will be given to those organizations, individuals, and initiatives that will inspire others to get involved, stand the test of time, and will be a manifestation of the Foundation's mission.

The Hansen Family Foundation provides opportunities to domestic, international, secular, and non-secular organizations that support the American way of life, which is defined by the principles of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
Focus Areas:
  • Children: The Hansen Family Foundation supports causes dedicated to helping children both home as well as abroad; giving children the world over a chance they may otherwise not of had.
  • Education: Through supporting those who educate, the Hansen Family Foundation hopes to create new opportunities and paths of life for those striving to better themselves through education.
  • Animals: The Hansen Family Foundation supports groups that strive to break the cycle of cruelty, neglect, abuse, and poaching of animals from all walks of life.
  • Environmental Causes:  The Hansen Family Foundation supports groups that crusade for the environment by seeking alternative sources of energy, preventing and protecting against pollution, and finding sustainable means of using and maintaining what little precious resources we have left.
  • Humanitarian Aid: Helping the poor, sick, and hungry people of the world is an investment in the future of the planet. The Hansen Family Foundation supports those who help others during times of hardship and despair so that they might one day have the chance to do the same.
  • Arts: The Hansen Family Foundation supports artists of all forms in all of their artistic endeavors. It is through art that people can learn about human nature in its most beautiful form.

Term of Contract:

In keeping with the Foundation’s commitment to organizations it supports, gifts will normally be multi-year. One time grants will not be excluded, but these types of grants would not generally demonstrate the level of commitment and partnership that the Foundation seeks to provide to its grantees.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

All grant recipients must be a charitable organization that is recognized by the US Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 nonprofit entity.

There is no geographic limitation of the recipient organization or individual (either where it is located or where the Foundation’s involvement may occur). As a practical matter, however, the Foundation may be better able to include gifts of its time and talents where the charitable recipient is located where Board members live or work.

No HFF grant funds will be awarded to a political party or campaign.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications will be considered until March 14th, 2020.

If the grant is time-critical and the reasons that drive the timing of the grant and what those deadlines are. If the grant is not time-critical then it will likely be voted on by the HFF Board of Directors (BOD) at the next scheduled BOD meeting. Those meetings normally occur semi-annually, once in the Spring and once in the Fall.
